Super Swift Long-Lasting Powerhouse,
I purchased this HP Laptop to replace one that I’d had for five years, that really couldn’t keep up with my growing business and personal demands on it, and it had been a top-of-the-line HP as well! I wanted something that had at least 8GB of RAM, check. It had to be able to expand its memory, yes – I’m going to be purchasing two 8GB memory cards in a couple of weeks. It had to be 3rd generation (i7) check. Well, that was pretty much everything on my checklist – well, it pretty much had to be an HP – I looked around our local stores, and found a couple of non-HP contenders, but they weren’t really everything that I felt comfortable about, then I saw this one and bam! it was love at first site – I love the almost noiseless keys, which is great for conference calls, because I can type and talk at the same time, or listen and type without having to stick the mute on; I love the fingerprint/biometric logon reader – with it, I can store all my passwords as my fingerprint, really safe! It never, ever, gets hot – so I could rest it on my bare thighs and it would not burn – try that with other laptops! The wi-fi on-off key is no longer at the front, where it can be turned off accidentally, but on the top row of the keyboard, much better. The headphone/microphone jacks, again, no longer at the front which is a pain, but at the side. The 3XUSB 3.0 and 1XUSB 2.0 ports is excellent! It also has this neat little flip-down cover over the LAN port at the side too, again really functional. Overall, it’s really, really fast – and I haven’t even upgraded the RAM yet, it’s reliable, (well, it’s an HP) and it’s long-lasting – oh, did I forget to mention that it lasts 8 hours unplugged?

|everything i need on this light laptop,
I was really impressed with my new laptop. I replaced a desktop with the HP Pavilion dv7t-7000. I have not found a docking station yet for it. This computer is so light and also never gets hot! I would recommend this the HP Pavilion dv7t-7000 to anyone looking for light and powerful computer. And it also includes a blue-ray player!

|Great Laptop from HP,
When I first got this laptop is was light, I thought oh it must be cheap. I started using it and it was terrific. Even though
it was made out of some plastic material, they probably made it lightweight, and unless your going to join the military it is
a great laptop. Light and useful, just got it for a few days and I can tell this is a great product. Keep up the good work HP!

|Very Good Purchase,
I ordered this about 3 days ago, it arrived promptly. Overall i am pleased with the order. I ordered it because the HP charger that came with my dv7 burnt out at the part where the power block attaches to the thinner cord.
Pros:
Good charger, same as HP’s default charger
Arrived quickly
No issues
Cons:
The cord to the is a bit short (just by eye balling it i’d say about 8′, while the stock HP charger is about 12′), but this doesn’t really bother me a whole lot as i am always close to an outlet
Overall:
Buy it, it’s worth it if your other charger broke or you need a spare, and this is a very good price for it

|Has worked well for 1.5 years now,
I originally bought this back in 2010 so I did not have to haul a power supply back and forth from work. I have had zero problems with the unit in all that time. I am here today because my original power supply that came with the laptop has stopped working and I need to pick up another.

|My 3rd power cord for my HP Pavilion DV7,
this is my 3rd power cord in as many years, 1st came with laptop about 3 years ago. that went after 2 years. second i got an HP from a friend who had a computer store, it was free and, in shrink wrap and had HP markings on it but only lasted 6 months. So now i 6amsearching for a new one. The HP cost around 75-100 dollars and apears to have a life span of 6 montht to your best guess. i decided to go generic. i found this one at amazon at more then half the price. and it has been working fine for a month now. I am not expecting much. After two HP power supplys have died a quick death i don’t know how long a generic one will last but at least i didn’t pay a huge amount o money. i am happy so far. It is the (almost) exact cord that HP supplies without HP markings and price. i hope it last. i will let you know when it goes.
